Reinsurance

Protective Insurance Company has been providing reinsurance to insurance and reinsurance companies since 1992. 

Protective provides property catastrophe, per-risk and aggregate reinsurance to U.S. single state and regional insurance carriers through an arrangement with Paladin Catastrophe Management LLC.

B & L Insurance, Ltd. ("BLI") is an offshore (Bermuda) reinsurance company which provides reinsurance for Protective only. BLI provides the availability of an insurance profit center concept allowing clients the advantages of a "captive" insurance company without the attendant expense or management demands.

In addition to writing reinsurance for U.S. insurance companies, Protective also provides retrocession cover to reinsurers in various parts of the world.
